Black Eyeballed Susan

Nigrum Luscus Lilium

Plant

A Black Eyeballed Susan, with its namesake black eyes at the center, has a haunting and unsettling quality. Its pollen is said to bring anxiety and fear to those who inhale it, as they feel the weight of the eyeballs' gaze upon them. The black eyes seem to follow a person's movements, always watching and judging, never blinking or providing any semblance of comfort. Despite its menacing appearance, the black eyed Susan is a unique and fascinating plant that continues to captivate and enthrall observers, drawing them closer even as they are filled with a sense of unease. It's said that the pollen of the black eyed Susan brings with it a sense of unease and foreboding, as if the plant is watching and judging every step you take. Even its thorns, once thought of as normal, are now black and sharp, ready to puncture the skin and leave behind a trail of blood.
